Anil Jaggi, the owner of New Rawalpindi Sweet House, told that after the partition of India and Pakistan, our family had come to Rawalpindi from Pakistan. After this, our great grandfather Daulat Ram laid the foundation of New Rawalpindi Sweet House in 1950. At that time New Rawalpindi Sweet House was probably the first shop in the surrounding area including Kichha, so customers from Kichha, Lalkuan, Pantnagar, Shakti Farm and Bahedi used to take sweets from our shop in large numbers.
Anil told that the trust the customers had on our shop in 1950, the same trust is still intact today. Such customers also keep coming to our shop who have been connected for 40-50 years. It is a matter of pride for us. It is our endeavor to maintain the faith of such people. He told that earlier laddoos, rasgulla and barfi were very much liked by the customers, but with time new sweets have come in the market and the taste of the customers has also changed. It is our endeavor to understand the taste of the customers and along with new sweets, we also serve them Chole Bhature, Chole Puri, Rajma Chawal, Chole Chawal, Paneer Pakori, Mix Pakori etc. Good quality sweets are made available to the customers here at low rates.
